It all started because, There  wasn’t  a much  of  land were I lived .So I started  going west  by trains and trails ,we got sick along the way some of us pass away ,But found land found land more than ever.Not to brag but I  was a pioneer myself. an we found gold we called it the “Gold rush.Because in California  in 1848 after all the gold was  found by a  close  city called  “San Francisco” .In 1857 were only  800 people  living there,but ten years later the population had increased to about 50,000 people. As a pioneer we had to work hard.To get all that land it cost two dollars per acre . We worked and worked  to clear  the trees out  and clear big rocks and little rocks .To add to that we had to build  houses ,and dig  holes  to get water .With all that hard work, California became the Boomtown ,and there you have it folks  that is my story, why I went west.
